Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Card Perks mobile application (the "App") or this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Card Perks ("we," "our," or "us").

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Service

Card Perks is a personal finance tool that helps users track credit card benefits, perks, and redemption deadlines. The App displays benefit information based on a card catalog we maintain and allows users to log their own perk usage.

Free tier and advertising: If you use the App without a paid subscription, you may see third-party advertisements served by Google AdMob (for example, interstitial ads). AdMob may use device identifiers and related data as described in our Privacy Policy and subject to platform controls such as App Tracking Transparency on iOS and consent flows in certain regions.

Important disclaimer: Card Perks is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any credit card issuer, bank, or financial institution. Benefit information in the App is provided for informational purposes only and may not reflect the most current terms of your credit card. Always refer to your card's official benefit guide and your issuer's website for authoritative information.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App (16 in the EU/UK where applicable). By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features you must create an account using your email address and the authentication methods we support through Firebase (for example, email and password). If we add Google Sign-In or other social sign-in, we will describe those options in the App and in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@cardperksapp.com

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Card Perks offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Card Perks Pro") that unlocks additional features. Subscription status and entitlements are processed by RevenueCat (or a similar service we use) so the App can reflect your plan; your payment is still collected by Apple or Google. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected) through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your payment method on file with the applicable store will be charged at the start of each billing period.
  • Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple or Google and subject to their respective refund policies. We do not issue refunds directly. Contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for refund requests.
  • Free trials: If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
  • Price changes: We will provide reasonable advance notice of any subscription price increase before it takes effect.

Note: Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or data. To delete your account, see Section 6 below or our Privacy Policy.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time using either of the following methods:

  • In the App: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  • Via email: Send a deletion request to support@cardperksapp.com from the email address associated with your account.

Before requesting account deletion, please cancel any active subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings to avoid future charges. Account deletion will permanently remove your profile and perk tracking data within 30 days. Certain data may be retained for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use automated tools to scrape, access, or extract data from the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its backend systems
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the App to transmit any harmful, offensive, or unlawful content

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and card catalog data, is owned by Card Perks and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Credit card names, logos, and trademarks referenced in the App belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT BENEFIT INFORMATION WILL BE COMPLETE OR CURRENT. YOU RELY ON BENEFIT INFORMATION IN THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CARD PERKS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, MISSED PERK REDEMPTIONS, OR DATA LOSS — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by local law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Card Perks and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time per Section 6. Sections 8 through 14 survive termination.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association's Consumer Arbitration Rules — not in a class action or jury trial. You waive any right to participate in a class-wide arbitration or class action lawsuit.

Either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm. Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

14. General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Card Perks regarding the App.
  • Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
